Plan Your Travel
Make travel plans early to take advantage of any advance reservation discounts at airlines, hotels, etc. And, Greensboro, NC is a destination in itself... plan in extra time to enjoy the surf, the golf, and the amusements.

Follow the Rules
For the safety of guests and exhibitors, because machinery will be in operation during this expo, no one under 16 years old (including infants in strollers and backpacks) will be admitted to the exhibit hall during set-up, show days, or dismantle.

All carry-in bags are subject to search.

No photography or video equipment will be allowed in the exhibit hall.

The expo will be held as scheduled regardless of local weather conditions.

Clarify Objectives and Set Goals
Why are you going to the expo? Want to find at least three new vendors for a particular product or service. Want to get an answer to a specific manufacturing question. Whatever your needs, clarify goals and set objectives before attending the expo.

Develop a Game Plan
Using the preliminary exhibitor list, decide which exhibitors are "must see's?" Do you need to set appointments with certain exhibitors? Which current suppliers should you see? Use the expo floorplan to map out your best show routes so you'll avoid backtracking.

Divide & Conquer
If there will be others from your company attending, decide how to divide up the duties to best suit everyone's strengths and their time requirements. Plan 5-15 minutes at each targeted exhibit.

Plan In “Shopping Time”
With hundreds of exhibitors providing just the products and services you need, browsing is one of the most important things you can do at a trade expo.

Have Fun and Learn
Fun and learning are two important parts of any job, so we provide both at every expo. Events and education sessions are posted as details become available, plus exhibitors offer their own contests, give-aways, and educational opportunities in every expo booth.

Dress Comfortably
Take special care in choosing shoes; you'll be walking a lot!

Know What Questions To Ask
Developing a list of questions before the expo will help you remember everything you wanted to ask, and will save you time at each stop.

Keep Notes
Try using a handheld tape recorder to note your thoughts at each booth. It's quicker than writing everything down, and you can record your impressions as you move from exhibit to exhibit.

Spend Time Wisely
With so much to see, time is important. Get to the point quickly at each exhibit. Tell the exhibitor the reason for the visit and the information needed to get answers to your questions.

After-The-Expo Follow Up
After the expo, share notes with colleagues, follow up on promises by exhibitors to deliver more information, and evaluate your success as an expo guest. Did you accomplish your goals? What would you do differently next time?
